A report from Hollywood Reporter on the power of films to boost the toy business reveals that Hasbro is feeling mighty after high sales, due in large part to 'Transformers' toys.
Hasbro reported a first-quarter profit of $37.5 million, up 14% from a year ago thanks to strong demand for "Transformers" and "Star Wars" toys. Revenue rose 13%, or 9% when adjusting for currency fluctuations, to $704.2 million.
It's no wonder they want to make that 'G.I. Joe' movie.
