Still looks to open along with the Disney parks rumor of an avatar land at Animal Kingdom.

Avatar may be the highest-grossing movie of all time, but director James Cameron isn't rushing himself when it comes to making the sequel(s).
In fact, according to a recent profile by The New York Times, Avatar 2 may not open until at least 2015 (and definitely not the 2014 release date previously mooted).

So, I posted 3 times and my post wont show up. (Complimenting Cameron on taking it slow to put out a great quality film.) My fourth post I type "F " You Post!" (Not the nice way either) And it shows up. Is there something wrong with this site?
He's making it, that's all that matters. It's not like we won't have other movies to see before 2015.
I hopr he spends some of the time working on an actual script this time. The first one was just a hodge podge of stories done 1000 times. The only thing it really had going for it was the special effects.
Booooooooooooooo....Mr Cameron, pretty please with sugar on top.....Do a Super Hero movie, lol....
I may be in the minority on this but I really don't give a rat's a$$ about this movie - the first one was just okay to me (yeah, yeah it looked great but the plot was just blah) and I have no need to see, or do I want to see another one of these.
I have already resereved my parking spot at the theatre. Like Hobbs said, take your time, we got a ton of shit that comes out before 2015.
I expect they will be.
