Newsarama has posted the first trailer for Marvel’s next animated feature. Check out the trailer for Marvel's Avengers Confidential: Black Widow and Punisher. After seeing Iron Man & Hulk: Heroes United I am more than skeptic on Marvel’s animation department. Aren’t they owned by Disney? Can we step it up please?

Synopsis: Marvel's Avengers Confidential: Black Widow and Punisher focuses on the two characters teaming up after Punisher is taken into custody by S.H.I.E.L.D. They're up against a new terrorist organization called "Leviathan" that has been stealing S.H.I.E.L.D. tech.

Marvel's Avengers Confidential: Black Widow and Punisher hits Blu-ray, DVD, and digital March 25, 2014.

well, at least it looks a helluva lot better than that IM/Hulk mess they released recently.... a marvel flick aimed at mature audiences? who woulda thought? possibly a step in the right direction?

For my taste, I do NOT like the Japanese anime style. Not one bit.

I think this looks excellent and I'm one that has never been big into anime

Right there with you CJ, 100%

Two very good characters to expand on their story.  I like the idea, I does have more of an adult feel to it. Could Marvel be making a move to step up their animated world as DC is making a move to expand their live action world? Looks like they are trying. I will be watching this one.

I kinda dig the leggy Captain Marvel standing there with the Avengers.

Guess I missed seeing her in the Avegers movie - so kind of wondering when she joined the roster.  And yes, I know that just about every Marvel charactor has been an Avenger at one time or another.  I'm just talkng about her being in the movie / anmated versions.

Glad to see Carol Danvers in animated format.

So this must be made by the same people who made the Wolverine and Blade series.

wish they would ditch the anime style and go traditional... but still remain edgy... i'll take what I can get, but seriously, Marvel is rolling in the dough, doesn't seem like they should be hard up finding good talent (writers especially!) - and how bout bringing us some of those amazing storylines that made Marvel what it is... no offense to Widow and Punisher... they've got a spot in my heart, but really, it's the X-men, Avengers, FF4, and Spidey that make Marvel what it is.

I see they are using Black Fury again.  I wonder when White Fury will come back?
