Avengers Spinoffs

Black Widow and Hulk

By Robert T. Trate     April 17, 2012
Source: Hollywood Reporter

You can bet that if The Avengers is big, and we mean BIG, we’ll be seeing some spinoff films. Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk) and Scarlet Johansson (the Black Widow) sat down with the Hollywood Reporter and discussed just that.

Plot Concept: Continuing the epic big-screen adventures started in "Iron Man," "The Incredible Hulk," "Iron Man 2," "Thor" and "Captain America: The First Avenger," "Marvel's The Avengers" is the superhero team up of a lifetime. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as SHIELD, finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins.

Joss Whedon’s The Avengers arrives in 3D, 2D, and IMAX May 3rd 2012.

Heh, yeah. Cause the only thing this piece of crap has got going for it is jiggly boobs. The Dark Knight Rises will own. You know this to be true... AK has spoken!

Did someone say jiggly boobs?

Don't really care for Nolans version of Batman. The "reality" takes the comic book out of it. Avengers Will Kick The Dork Knights ass...

AKspade, you are having delusions of grandeur. Dark Knight Rises will do good opening weekend, but it will quickly die off once the fanboys have gone to see it. Everyone and their grandma will be going to see The Avengers. I have co-workers who could care less about comic books and yet they are dying to see The Avengers. Batman on the other hand? Meh, most think it should have ended with Heath's death... Face it, DC needs to look for a new home... Far away from WB!

Let's just agree that BOTH movies will own the Twinkle Twilight finale.

Heh, coming from a couple of marvel nerds, that really hurts my feelings. But I will concede one point. WB has killed any chance of having more popular characters with their last debacle known as Green Lantern. Will they both do well? Probably. Who is the better director? Nolan or Joss Whedon? If you can honestly say Joss Whedon, I am going to ask you what you're smoking, 'cause I don't want any!

I'm usually not this ansy about a movie series, but when it comes to Batman, I can't side with any other comic book movie. So don't take it personally when I pick sides.

Both will be good.  If you're a true fan of comics you'll appreciate both and support both so that they'll keep bringing our childhood to life on the big screen hopefully in a good way.  DC  and WB screwed up by not setting up for a Justice League movie like Marvel has done with The Avengers.  Big lost for them. Huge win for Marvel!

Don't remind me...
