I know that I am not alone in thinking that GI Joe: the Rise of Cobra was terrible. It was the cartoon brought to life in the worst possible way. Now I am still a huge fan of the cartoon but what I wanted was a realistic portrayal of the series brought to life. When the sequel was announced I didn’t think much of the Rock being cast in the film. The first trailer also did very little for me. While at Toy Fair I stopped by the Hasbro booth for a few pictures and did not really expect anything spectacular. The line for the new movie is not as huge as the first, but my God are the figures incredible. The sculpts of the actors are amazing and so much that I told the Hasbro rep that the Bruce Willis figure could be instantly sculpted into a Cole figure for 12 Monkeys. I have higher hopes for the movie now. I also know that several of these figures, one way or the other, will find their way onto my toy shelf.

I’m usually not one for gimmick toys, but I will definitely get these for my nephews. They just look like super fun for kids.
