Aykroyd Goes OUT THERE

Dan Aykroyd is adding talk show host to his resume, though the program will be atypical within the gab genre.

The SCI FI Channel has signed on Aykroyd to act as host of a program called OUT THERE, which will deal with the paranormal. An enthusiast of the genre, Aykroyd previously acted as host for the syndicated PSI FACTOR: CHRONICLES OF THE PARANORMAL.

The coming program, which will start taping in order to make a potential second quarter of 2002 airdate, is being produced under the Beyond Belief Prods. shingle. BBP is a joint venture of Aykroyd, his brother Peter and producer Robert K. Weiss.

The show is being created as a companion to CROSSING OVER. If it does as well as CROSSING, OUT THERE may also make the jump to syndication.
