Aylett Creates Angriest Pig

SF Satire Novelist Steve Aylett Pens Animated Series

Famed British cyberpunk novelist and satirical SF hooligan Steve Aylett, author of SLAUGHTERMATIC and THE CRIME STUDIO, has created a new animated series called RIP, THE ANGRIEST PIG IN THE WORLD. The half-hour series, which has been described as Tex Avery meets SOUTH PARK, is being directed by Richard Bazley (a supervising animator on THE IRON GIANT and Disney's HERCULES). The show will be produced in the UK by British animation company BA20.

RIP is set in a post-apocalypse future world and follows the struggles of mutant talking animals that "combat savage dangers with volatile animosity and baffling unpredictability." A Canadian co-producer is rumored to be near the deal, and several UK and US broadcasters have already expressed interest in distributing the property.
