If Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox), the hero of the BACK TO THE FUTURE trilogy, traveled from 1985 (when the original was made) to 2002 to see the extras-packed DVD box set honoring this classic series, he would likely have turned to inventor Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) and said, "Heavy." Of course, he wouldn't be referring to the poundage the three-disc set carries with it, but rather the sheer number of interviews, deleted scenes, commentaries and other goodies the filmmakers have unleashed from the vaults.
One thing is certain once he figured out the purpose of these shiny, little multi-media goldmines, McFly would be more than pleased that his FUTURE still looks bright. With pristine widescreen transfers and newly remastered soundtracks, the Robert Zemeckis-directed trilogy has never looked or sounded better.
