BACK TO THE FUTURE animated TV show returns
By: Patrick SauriolDate: Thursday, March 13, 2003
Originally aired on CBS in 1991, the animated BACK TO THE FUTURE TV series is returning to the airwaves, this time as a part of Fox's Saturday morning lineup. The series will premiere on Fox at 8:30 AM (ET/PT) on March 22.
The Emmy-award winning cartoon series picked up after the conclusion of BACK TO THE FUTURE 3 with Doc Brown returning to settle down in Hill Valley with his wife, Clara, and two young sons Jules and Verne. Marty McFly is enrolled in junior college and still dating Jennifer Parker, and so is Biff Tannen the local bully. Marty and Doc continue to have further adventures through time, going back even farther in time. Two seasons worth of episodes were made.
The show features live-action segments starring Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown demonstrating science experiments with Bill Nye (the Science Guy). Providing the voice of the cartoon Doc Brown is Dan Castellaneta (Homer Simpson in THE SIMPSONS) while Mary Steenburgen and Tom Wilson reprise their characters of Clara Brown and Biff Tannen.
