Is the Hulkgoing back to school? According to a write-up in yesterday's DailyCalifornian. The Californian, the independent, student-run newspaper whichserves the University of California Berkeley reports that filming for the moviemay take place on the University's campus.
TheBerkley lab is said to be a candidate for a shooting location. According to thewrite-up Universal is interested in using the lab's distinctive dome-shapedAdvanced Light Source building in the Berkeley Hills.
"They likethe looks of it from the inside. It's pretty fantastic," Ron Kolb, aspokesperson for the UC-run lab said. "They're looking at us as aprospective place, (but) we haven't made the commitment yet."
The use of thelab building hinges on Universal being able to cut a deal with the city ofBerkeley and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
"One of thestipulations if we were to agree to this commitment is that none of the researchcould be negatively impacted," Kolb told The Daily Californian. Thatcaveat would likely limit filming to weekends or evenings.
The write-upalso mentions that Hulk producer and co-screenwriter James Schamusis a U.C. Berkeley graduate.
