Armie Hammer? He is too babyish in the face for Batman. At least that is my opinion.

But then I have to go see the Lone ranger so maybe he is more hardcore looking in that movie. Batman needs to be grim and rough. Is hammer grim and rough in Lone Ranger? Do you all think he can pull off the demeanor for Bats?

FLYNN 7/2/2013 12:10:27 PM

I will believe it when he turns down 20 million

And why is Mania always late reporting stories???

aegrant 7/2/2013 12:12:37 PM

@axia777: I think Ackles is a better actor - well at least funnier

axia777 7/2/2013 12:30:34 PM

FLYNN, that is wht everyone is saying.  LOL  It is done.  Forget about Bale.  He is three and done.  Time to move on.

I honestly don't know much about Hammer.  But they have been throwing his name around for some time.  Of couse, not sure how much screen time he will get, being second chair to Depp in LR.

No more Bale as Batman and no Nolan involvement in JL; Nolan totally bastardized Batman in TDKR and his "dark and gritty" BS spilled over into MOShite.

Seriously...a comparison of IM to Superman? Iron Man had virtually no recognition outside of hardcore comic book fans before RDJ put on the armor unlike Superman who was already well known by just about everyone; Superman has been in comics and on radio, TV, and movies since the 1930s.

MOShite will not exceed The Amazing Spiderman at the box office; that's a fail! A monkey directing Channing Tatum as Superman could have made $1 billion at the box office. Nick Cage had more charm as Ghost Rider for crying out loud. A good Superman movie does $1.5 billion easy. ZS and DC/WB left a bunch of easy cash on the table because they decided to show a bunch of aliens punching each other for 2 hours then wrap it up with a crap ending.

On another note, I think Richard Armitage would make an excellent Batman. He’s got the chops, acting ability and the physical stature to make an excellent Batman.

If Goyer, Snyder and/or Nolan are involved with JL then it will turn into a colossal failure and make Green Lantern seem like Academy Award winning material. Bring in someone who has the brass ones to stand up to WB and wants to make a solid CBM with all the elements of comic books people have been reading for decades. If someone manages to pull off a good JL movie you’re looking at the first $2 billion movie. It won’t happened; DC/WB will manage to mess it up which is why they have virtually nothing in the pipeline other than MOS2 and a bunch of cartoons. They’re scared to death!

DarthBob, I took a look at Richard Armitage and I say it has possibilities. He looks like he could pull off the vibe of the World Greatest Detective.

I'm glad for that.

I'm exhausted by Christian Bale's raspy roars. I always imagine he must've gone to many throat doctors after working 12-14 hour days talking like that.

A Batman voice reminiscent of Kevin Conroy/Michael Keaton would be much more appropriate.

mellow, i don't think it's a question of not fitting it's simple bale fucking sux..and his horrible anoying stooooopid bat voice just makes me laugh it's disturbing in every way...
