Overlooking the tabloid nature of WENN (and Starpulse), this latest Batman news should be amusing enough for the fans. The tabloids are reporting that leading star Christian Bale is threatening to walk out of any future Batman installments should there ever be a mention of including the character of "Robin" into the series.

Here's what he supposedly said about the consequences of including the infamous sidekick into his franchise.

“If Robin crops up in one of the new Batman films, I’ll be chaining myself up somewhere and refusing to go to work.”

He probably did say this but it was likely made in jest. It should also be noted that both Nolan and Bale are very close knit in sharing ideas for future storylines with their Bat character, which makes the chance of Robin even being mentioned in the planning stage very small.

I agree, there is alot Batman can do before Robin shows up. We have characters like Catwoman, the Riddler, and Mr. Freeze (please not in the same movie) for Batman to deal with first. Maybe they could throw in a young Barbara Gordon eventually that slowly becomes Batgirl. I'd rather see her before Robin and I belive Batgirl is older anyway.

I think this is just wishful thinking on the part of the Tabloid. I certainly don't care to see Robin any time soon.

Yeah they can definately do without a Robin for quite a while. They dont always have to throw him in the mix so freaking fast everytime a Batman movie comes out. I like how Batman is a lone defender right now and still has to battle his inner demons. I just hope Bale is acting this way for the movie and not because of another actor taking the sharing his spotlight. I dont think thats the reason hopefully.

mike10 They can't add in Bat girl. In the last sence Batman Begins when Batman and Gordon talk about the Joker you see barbara as a baby. Unless in the thrid or forth movie(hopefully) they would have to jump 18 to 20 years later.

I hope in the third movie there's no Riddler. A lot of you say Anthony M. Hall should play the character but, why cause he's was on the Dead zone (Lame show) . Isn't he in the Dark Knight anyway? If any thing just keep it at one villain Two face the bring back Scarecrow. He was portrayed as more of a light weight.

Have no fear, Robin won't be in any of these flicks. I think they are using him for Teen Titans.

Even if he was I wouldn't have a problem cause I bet Nolan would make a great movie with Robin in it, not like that fuck Schumacher. Anthony Michael Hall isn't Riddler and Scarecrow is already in The Dark Knight.

Nemeisis 157 A bit of Batman History. The baby in that film is not Barara Gordon. In fact Barbara is NOT really Gordon's natural daughter. In the Batmythos she is the daughter of a former officer whom Gordon adopts after his death. Jim's wife and child actually leave him, at some point in his career.

FUCK Robin.

They definitely don`t need Robin in any future installments of Batman. To me he always worked better alone and when he didn't that person always ends up paying the price. Besides Robin was always kind of corny to me until he was in the Teen Titans and then became Nightwing.
