It wouldn't be surprising if it WASN'T Stardriver.

Seriously; if Bancolding$ REALLY wanna regain any sense of respect, they would atleast stop playing these games.

My point is that once Funi starts releasing their shows, they actually do it in a very timely fashion. Bandai releases their crap one volume at a time with usually 3 month intervals inbetween. It's infuriating. Whereas Funi will release sometimes an entire 26 episode series all at once. Or at least in half season sets only a couple months apart.  That's how you please fans. Not by dragging out your releases at a glacial pace like Bandai. So yeah, I'd much rather have anyone other Bandai get their hands on...well pretty much any and all licenses.

I also love how you ignored the price argument. Very convenient of you.

In all fairness though, Bandai only releases a select few series in singles these days.  K-On! was huge in Japan and they likely had no say in that if they wanted to license it.  At least one other R1 company passed on the title after nearly having the deal done for some reason, and I think an insistence on singles could have been part of the reason.  Plus, it was a very expensive license and it may have been difficult to recoup the costs in boxset form for a company like Bandai.

Sadly, it's actually become rare for a company to regularly hit it's street dates.  The only company I can think of that does it regularly with very few issues is Sentai.  They've pretty much only had two street delays and both were blurays, Legend of the Dark King and Canaan (though Canaan only shipped a day late from most retailers.)

@ dragonrider_cody: K-ON! being shipped out weeks early from certain online vendors. Maybe Bandai is finally becoming competent.

If they do in fact announce Star Driver please oh PLEASE let them have secured Blu-ray rights in the license agreement. I will not buy this on DVD.
