  @Elbaz

I must take back that comment on that thread ... the "pot shots" one ... I admit I was having a bad day ... I'm pretty cool (usually!) ... as is evident on the other thread where Darth old buddy is tearing Nolan a new one every day
I didn't see that avatar (avengers cutting the cord) ... so was not offended at all ...
I'm pretty impressed by all this civilized talk ... to tell you the truth i was preparing to get it black and blue on the backside ... unless OmegaDan and co .still havent read my posts ... lol

No problem. We all like taking little shots at each other's likes and dislikes. Don't get me started on Hunger Games. I like the series but whenever there is a posting of the movie here, there are negative shots taken at the franchise. C'est la de fanboy I guess. :)

As for the Avengers vs Dark Knight. The pic is in my profile in the photo gallery. It's well done and kind of reminds of those posters that Speilberg/Lucas/Cameron sent to each other when their movies were #1.

I just saw the photo ... lol ... well can't say much ... Avengers ruled the BO and Disney/Marvel is on a roll

To be honest I am a huge JW fan and a normal Nolan fan ... but I guess I'm one of those dying DC old guards and as someone pointed out - it is painful to see them (or WB esp) spiralling to its death bed

Elbaz, that crying dawson pic is painful too ... so painful ... lol

 Vitty - Ya know, I think your 1,000,000% right.......it is sad......W.B. needs to start REALLY caring about their Properities if they expect to be on TOP again.......

 To whom it may Concern......

Omegadean, Wes, there may be plot holes in TDKR as can be found in many other movies, including Avengers, which you two ignored, but you have to suspend ones' disbelief a bit, they are movies after all.  Most of the so called "plot holes" you two mentioned aren't as substantial as you're making it out to be.  You two are obviously fans of the Burton Batman (God knows why there are those who still worship that because it hasn't aged well!!) and the only thing that I agree with you on Wes is that the creators of Batman: the Animated Series should be given a chance to reboot the franchise.  I'm certainly not against a Batman series being set in the DCU but let's also bear in mind that that's not essential in having a great Batman film series as Nolan has done.  Great story and characters are the primary ingredients for any great movie, not whether or not it's based in a "fantasy" or DCU setting.  BTW, as our friend Hanso pointed out not too long ago on another thread, BATMAN HAS NO SUPERPOWERS so it shouldn't be that much of a stretch to see a character like that grounded near reality should it?

 @Kiethdaniels - I respectively disagree (big shock there, rite, lol)....Marvel has shown that those little glances of other aspects of their Universe (Nick Fury, I.M. 1/Stark Talking to General Ross in Incredible Hulk, etc, etc) is what sparked the Imaginations of the Fan's......proving now, that it is Essential, to have those aspects in a Comic Book Franchise.

Nolan has even done it, by hinting at the "The Long Halloween" in TDK.........

I guess there are still a few stragglers who haven't seen the film yet who should skip this message because it containsSPOILERS . This is a discussion / comment for people who have seen the film.

I think genre flicks like this comic book movie have to be criticized differently than say a movie like "Ordinary People."  This is a fantasy and shouldn't be judged by real standards, you've got to suspend your belief (believe the unbelievable).

That said I am wondering if there are any deleted scenes for Catwoman ?  The movie doesn't give us any back story for her.  It's like we are supposed to know everything about her without an explanation. In fact I don't think she's ever referred to as Catwoman in the movie.  All we know is that she doesn't particularly care for wealthy people and has no problem with stealing their expensive trinkets and she doesn't mind working for unsavory people if the price is right.  In fact she didn't seem to  have a problem with Bane's new social order where priveleged people are dragged out of their mansions and hotel suites and replaced by the poor.  She didn't get behind Batman until she learned that everyone was going to be blown up.  I'd like to know why and where she developed her special skills and acquired her costume?  Or am i supposed to refer to 1992's Batman Returns for that info.
