Director Robert Rodriguez will be producing a comic cult heroine "Red Sonja" into a live action movie with lots of blood and guts, as revealed during a panel at the San Diego Comic-Con International. It will star Rose McGowan as Red Sonja herself. The new movie was based off books and characters by Robert E. Howard and follows the Arnold Schwarzenegger's Red Sonja movie. "This is an original story of a heroine who became a larger than life character," said Rodriguez. "We've decided to do [this movie] instead of Barbarella."
