This actually looks good!

 Just curious...why does the "origin" seem to be filmed in present time? Is this one of those JJ Abrahams Star Trek timeline anomalies where they just  throw logic out the window? It would have been better had it been based in the 1950's....

In the commentary they say it is a re imagining of the story set in a contemporary world. I think its a cool concept and I trust A&E so I am in.

 I'll watch it, but my expectations are low.  Turning an established franchise into a tween marketed product never spurns out a quality product, even if it sells to the mainstream.
