BATMAN: THE KILLING JOKE Action Figure Collector Set

In June 2008, DC Direct will release the BATMAN: THE KILLING JOKE Action Figure Collector Set, which is based on the art of Brian Bolland

This collector set features newly sculpted versions of legendary foes Batman and The Joker as they appear in this story, as well as the 48-page Prestige Format Special, written by Alan Moore and illustrated by Brian Bolland.

The set will come packaged in a 4-color window box. BATMAN and THE JOKER both stand 6.75" tall.  Also included will be a 48-page prestige format comic book.  It will be priced at $34.99.

DC Direct is a great line but there hype starts way too early. Maybe they should post a month or two before the figure actually comes out?

i didnt even see the June 08 release date but honestly while the figures look good I wouldnt pay $34.99 for a Joker figure wearing Hawaiian shirt and shorts looking like he just stepped off a plane and a Batman action figure that looks like every other Batman figure...

I like the Joker figure, shows his twistedness and is alot better than the pirate Joker from the Batman Kenner line mid 90's.

However this set does not fairly represent the book, there is no Barbara Gordon with gunshot wound in the back or Commisioner Gordon in Bondage gear after he was kidnapped and the I believe it was midget baby slaves to watch Gordon. The figures need to be bloodier.
