Battle Athletes OVA Vol. #2

The Review!
Well, this is a pretty good summary of events. I'm amazed, I guess I'll just have to start my review of Battle Athletes: Ready... right now!
For something new, I'll just take the time to combine both the picture and the sound into one section. After awhile, it gets repetitive to say " Pioneer quality, etc etc. " and the move on to sound and say the same thing. So, I'll just say it now. The picture is, of course, Pioneer quality as is the sound. The only bad thing here comes in the form of the sound...of the dub. but that's not really something technical I guess...

The packaging is ok for this volume. The back of the box is really the best part though. It shows Akari wearing her awesome Acro-Spike uniform from episode 4. Sexy! The menu, while sporting this great picture, still sucks. Still slow, still bleah. Ah well.

The episodes are kind of a mixed bag. Episode 3 is the mid-term exam episode and it wasn't really anything special for me. However, the end of episode 3 was great! Same could be said of episode 4, I liked the competition between the girl's and the boy's satellite and seeing Mylandah's reaction to her uniform. However, the end of the episode really took the cake. So, while the end of these two episode were great, the rest was average. Ah well. The real excitement in these types of series is always the big competitions, and that comes up the last volume. It's there where we'll see if the series succeeds, or fails.
