What They Say
Akari made the cut! Now, her life gets really strange. Akari's trip into space to train on the University Satellite Sports Academy is interrupted by three hijackers with very odd tactics.

Then, she meets her roommate who brought a cow from the moon, and her coach who can only eat chocolate to survive! Just as she thinks things can't get any worse, she and her teammates discover that they can't seem to win a single match in the competition - will Akari lose so soon?

Episode 11: Girl Meets Girls
Episode 12: There Go The Three!
Episode 13: There Go The Three Again!

The Review!
Battle Athletes Victory once again continues to really shine. The fourth installment, containing episodes 11 through 13, were great. I mean, bust a gut laughing great.

The audio and video quality are excellent. There are a few scenes in the second episode that looked a little soft to me, but otherwise everything was as seen on the previous discs. And yes, once again, I still have not seen the white fuzz that some people talk about (see the FAQ). I looked very intently for it this time, but didn't seen any hint of it.

These episodes bring us squarely up to the Satellite now and all that it entails. There's a brief adventure on the ride up, but what was the most hilarious thing along there is the differences from the OVA in regards to Kris. Too funny.

It's hard to really review these without giving much away. Akari's house returns (and multiplies!), Anna makes her debut, the headmaster gets even wackier than before...

And then there's Mister Miracle. Honestly, I'm still not sure how to take him. I keep thinking of the real Mr. Miracle and his wife Big Barda from the DC Comics series, so there's a bit of "luggage" there for me. It's definitely something new to the series and it'll be interesting to see how it continues.

Once again, my thanks for Pioneer in not only bringing this series out on DVD, but in bringing it out period. It's a highlight of my collection and when all is said and done with it, will definitely earn a place in the Essential Anime Collection!
