Majestic Studios announced that a giant 13.5 inch Battle Damaged Cylon Centurion from the Battlestar Galactica TV series will be sold at the 2006 Comic Con.

"This will not be just a repaint of our regular version Cylon," says Majestic CEO Rick Phares. "It has a completely different head sculpt, which shows just what a few blaster hits can do to a Cylon head. But, since the blasts did not hit the "brains," he just keeps attacking."

The piece will be available on a first come, first served basis. 100 will be available on Preview Night (July 19), the remainder will go on sale the next day.

"This figure is technically the most difficult project I've had the pleasure to work on," says Phares. "It is made up of hand poured polyresin, hard plastic ABS and soft plastic PVC. While we did have the benefit of the exact computer design from special effect company ZOIC, every piece of our figure needed to be engineered from scratch since there are obviously no user's guide or manual for Cylon movement."

Comme on Spiderr987...you know you want to just let loose with a tirade on the nufake (I believe that's the term you use) Cyclons, If you don't let it out, your head will explode!

What does Spiderr987 usually write...The average viewershiw rating for nufake is 2.0, while the original debuted with an audience of 65 million (nevermind that there were maybe a 10th of stations there are now). Glen Larson quote usually follows about them ripping off the Battlestar Galactica name just to get viewers (but does he cash the checks he gets from them?). And then there's usually something about Richard Hatch's failed attempt to get the show back on TV (and doesn't he appear on the new one - he must not hate it that much). Sorry, couldn't resist.

I think that Glenn Larson and Spiderr987 can go lick each other. I don't understand all of the deprecating remarks towards this series at all. It is a good show. If you are really happy with the older series, go buy the old dvds and enjoy. There are a lot of people that enjoy this new version of it, and I say that you should let us enjoy it. Considering how shitty tv is now adays, why would you spend time trashing one of the few good shows out there? I mean, for fucks' sake; Tony Danza has a show on tv!! You can't possibly tell me that an hour long rant of "Eh oh, oh eh"s are better than anything that BSG has thrown on the air so far! Let's enjoy good tv whenever we can find it, and stop allowing the bullshit to remain.

I hate you Tony...

OOOH, PwwwwwwEEEEEEEEEzzzzzze, can I get one? Can I? Can I? Can I?

No?

How 'bout now?

Er... Make mine MARVEL!!!

Now?

No?

(I'm always amused at cons to watch fanboys whoring themselves out for this kind of crap while company reps schlepping it like it's fucking gold or something dangle it in front of their eyes like a dog biscuit...)

Get a clue!

Who in their right mind would buy their kids toys, based on a tv show (GINO) that encompasses babyneck-snapping, public masturbation, child sex slavery and raping of women??? You would have to be sick in the head.

The nu/fake BSG includes baby-neck snapping, rape, torture and public masterbation as part of their pallette for telling their story. NOT what BSG's original creator, Glen Larson, had in mind for his show, via his source material! That is why Colonial Fleets.com purged any and all nu/fake BSG forums from their board:

TO: Ronald D. Moore, Executive Producer, Battlestar Galactica

As you may know, Colonial Fleets has long been a supporter of the revival of the original Battlestar Galactica. Despite this, we have had fans from your version of our beloved story who have come in, singing the praises of your show, even at the expense of the original. We have embraced these fans, in the hopes that there might be good communication, discussion, and esprit de corps between them.

Battlestar Galactica, to us, has always represented a story that could be viewed by entire families. Yes, the story deals with a very dark subject (the annihilation of the human race across the stars, and the subsequent horrors and strife that follow), but the show also was a tale of hope and strength in the face of great adversity. It was a story of rising above the challenges the rag tag fleet had to face as a result of being exiled to the stars. And, the show was one of a family united against these processes that no despair could rend asunder.

Your version of this tale has twisted so many of the concepts of Battlestar Galactica into something that is barely recognizable by its fanbase. Constant dysfunction, a military that is far beyond any discipline we acknowledge, and stories far darker than need to be told in the realm of Battlestar Galactica.

Many segments of your show have been extremely controversial. Many TOS fans have spoken out against such events. In the miniseries, you depicted the murder of an infant in wha
