whoah... didnt see that one coming. DEATH SLOT!

of course, way back in 1979, BSG aired sunday nights at 9pm on ABC so maybe its history round 2?

Why the Hell would they move it to Sundays? It is doing fine on Sci-Fi Fridays. The Sci-fi channel reminds me so much of Fox, its not funny. They cancel good shows, and move others to different timeslots for no apparent reason and then they wonder why the show`s ratings go down. The show is doing fine, leave it where it is!

Here's the funny irony:

We used to come home from church and watch Battlestar Galactica (during it's rerun years in the early 80s). Had good family values, space battles, and a nice religious theme.

Now, the new BSG comes to our Sundays... except this one is Dark, Brutal, Deeply Sexualized, and will leave me feeling somewhat guilty watching after attending church. (Oh the dilemma this go round).

No doubt, ponyboy, this show is one of the best things going; the deep layers to the characters, especially Tighe's character. WHOA! My liking for his character is up there with Al Swearengen, you hate/like the character so damned much it's almost like you know the bastiches.

This is a bad move. Sundays are for bad tv cartoons, not heavy drama.

Maybe they are trying to initiate another night of original programming. What do they have on Sunday's now, reruns of bad movies? And while ratings for BSG have been down, I seriously doubt they are trying to kill their most visible show that even mainstream critics adore.

There are three good reasons to move BSG to Sunday nights:
1) Desperate Housewives
2) Brothers and Sisters
3) Grey's Anatomy (until this season)

Those three shows did/are doing extremely well on Sunday nights. I'll be honest. I love the show but hate that its on Friday because I always miss it. Thats just me though.

X-Files made the move from Friday to Sunday and did better then it ever did so this is not nececarely a bad thing.

Who wants to bet that Spider will come here with his cut and paste and use the move in his arguments tho?

Sunday at 9om cst was when ST:TNG aired for the market I was in and was perfect. I always have to catch the Monday Rerun. Fridays to busy for TV.

I could see this as a good move to get a wider audience on a Sunday night. They need to do a heavy marketing campaign to make sure the general pop. knows it's there.
