Battlestar Galactica Prequel Details Emerge

Details have emerged of the BATTLESTAR GALACTICA prequel which airs this fall on Sci-Fi Channel, says Cinema Blend & Home Media Magazine. The prequel itself will be a two-part stand alone in the series covering over 50 years in the BSG timeline. All the current cast of BSG will be in the two parter but there will also be past characters showing up in the stand alone as well such as Michelle Forbes(Admiral Cain).
Executive producer Ronald D. Moore told Home Media Magazine that the prequel will cover the entire history of the Pegasus as well as showing the original Cylon Centurions. The prequel will not answer any cliffhangers from Season 3 but the backstory itself will play a part in the story of Season 4.
A few weeks after this two part prequel airs on November 24, the dvd of it will be released including footage that wasn't show on the television version. No word yet on when the Season 3 of BSG will be on Dvd but people assume it's close to this date since Season 4 will be begin in January 2008.
