Sure, I'm always game to see a new spin on a comic and cartoon series that I loved growing up. Afterall, I've already read and seen plenty of times that old canister spilling on four pet store turtles. I'm curious to see a new approach.

Iceknight.  Seriously?  Is that what happened to make these Turtles big and tough?  I haven't ever been a fan of TMNT.  I have been a fan of Michael Bay from time to time.  It seems like every second movie he makes is good for me.  Texas Chainsaw remake...  Good...  Friday the 13th?  NNNNooo.  The first Transformers movie...  AWESOME...  The second?  NNNooo.  The third...  Okay, you get my meaning.  I watched a few of these TMNT shows and that last movie they came out with and I still wonder why Michael Bay would ever want to redo any of this.  It's just not my thing I guess.  Still, I can understand fan frustration when an origin element is toyed with.  It's not cool at all, no matter what the storyline is.  To those fans, I can only say this.  Star Trek 2009 was insanely awesome and all of the origins were toyed with from the very beginning.  As much as you want to curse at Michael Bay(mostly because he's Michael Bay), don't think you won't be sitting in the theater watching this and thinking, I hate this.  We did the same thing with Transformers.  It's this...  It's that...  It sucks, then we all went back for the sequels! 

this will be fun for the kids no matter how much they change the origin of the TNMNT.  it's the MANCHILD idiots that need to do like MB said , just CHILL.  or you can go find  the tallest building and end your sorry self . i stll remember people crying bout the first transformers and in the end people just could not get enough of it and mde mad money . so stop acting like idiots and realize that there are people who have not watched the first TNMNT movie or ever bothered to watch the toons even the comics for that. , so like i always say it is what it is  . i will go watch this even knowing that the TNMNT had been exposed to some crazy toxic waste making them able to talk and act human like with cool fighting skills like ninjas . still im open to new ideas and as long as the movie turns out fun then why get so stopid about it? .  you 30-40 something MANCHILD need to understand  by now it's also about the real children not just you idiot MANCHILD retards.. . so there deal with it . like the movie x-men, singer ruined the x-men origins and so did the bastard RATT . still for the people who diden't know crap about the story they liked it, now the x-men first clas movie producers  are doing the best they can to clean up the mess,  but like i said not every one knows about the origins of TNMNT, X-MEN , SPIDERMAN, and so on  . so dont hate and judge with out knowing what or how it will turn out.  besides if the original makers of TNMNT are involved then have some faith or just let the kids have their fun you MANCHILD had your fun now it's the new generations turn to have their fun don't be idiot's...

lol ... this manchild loves the old TMNT ... back when the toys, movies and original Archie comics came out ... but will watch this upcoming movie anyway

 I see your points. I am not as up in arms about this as some are. I guess my only real question is: Why? I can understand if the TMNT had been brutally destroyed to the point where origin stories needed to be modified. But the last movie was well received. The latest cartoons have been pretty decent. Why the change? 

And I am assuming if this change is okay, would it be fine to reintroduce Venus DeMilo from Saban's The Next Mutation series?

Lap it up Bay Fans you keep watching his crap, he's going to keep giving you crap! If no one here see's that this is a slap in the face to the creators of TMNT then your no fans at all. I dont care how many explosions or how cool you think it might look!!! Again I state ahead of time, I'm not seeing this sacriledge to the Comics, Movies, Games and everything else that came before it.

I grew up with TNMT and I'm a huge fan (not a guru though), but I don't really mind this. I'm not a Bay lover by any means also. As long as they don't skip the ooze part, I'm interested to hear more.

 but I don't even know if the Ooze is the actual Origin. LOL. Like I said not a guru.

I look at it this way:  I paid to WATCH 'Transformers' (all of them).  But I won't pay to OWN them.  This'll happen with the new Spidey movie, too.  If you want me to OWN your work and watch them over and over, don't make radical changes.  Subtle, sure... Major, then I'm watching it on Netflix.
