Bear McCreary scores BATTLESTAR GALACTICA Season Two Finale!

In a report posted at soundtrack.net, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA composer Bear McCreary held a strings and piano session at the Warner Brothers Eastwood Scoring Stage in Burbank, CA. The session was to record music for the upcoming two-episode season finale, which according to McCreary will leave fans yelling at their screens, due to the cliffhanger aspect.

"I had 36-hours to write 55-minutes of music, for a 2.5-hour long monstrosity and only five days to produce it all," explained McCreary. Score mixer and music co-producer Steve Kaplan made sure that the pre-records worked with the strings, and fans of the show are sure to be clamoring for some of these cues when La-La Land Records releases the soundtrack in June.

The last time I yelled at my TV for a cliffhanger was "Best of Both Worlds Part 1"

Same here ... Best of Both Worlds Part 1 had me so upset I almost put my foot through the TV. Best cliffhanger in my opinion.

aaaawwwww... that was one of the absolute best cliffhangers ever. That was when TNG came out from the shadow of the original trek.

“I had 36-hours to write 55-minutes of music, for a 2.5-hour long monstrosity – and only five days to produce it all,”

If he doesn't like these kinds of situation, why doesn't he get another job? American Idol would surely want him?

*ducks*

Wasn't Wolf 359 based on a true story?

Hey, kevn/andrewlehtola/lracors, you did exactly the same thing I did with Best of Both Worlds. I sat there yelling and my neighbor in the dorms came to make sure I was okay. Then I made him watch the tape and he agreed with the yelling.

He probaby thinks Moore's UNauthorized BSG sucks, like the rest of us. Last time I checked the season has been under the 2.0 glass ceiling in the ratings.

By the way...

Another great cliffhanger coming I'm sure! Don't know if it'll beat Adama getting shot by Boomer/"the cylon", but it's sure to be juicey! The first time I yelled at the TV was when Gargamel invaded the Smurfs Village for the first time. I was like... NOOOOOO! The Best of Both Worlds left me with some chills. The Next Generation FINALLY HIT that mark where it was about to go off on its own direction from the original series. Now, with 24, I'm yelling at the TV every damned Monday! And Battlestar Galactica on Friday? Shrieking! The twists and plot and characters are so frackin' good in these two shows, there's no need to watch TV for anything else.
