Maybe he's just out on a fishing trip and not wanting to shave? Why does having a beard mean someone's trying to "find themselves"?!? LOL...interesting stereotypes...
Millean...I'm not sure if that's his real facial hair or not (probably not), but many guys have facial hair a different color or shade that on their head. My hair is brown, yet my beard is red.
Actually ultrazilla, at some point, while discussing the plot of this film, it was mentioned that Kal-El would spend time travelling in a "what's my role on this alien planet" way. Thus the "finding himself" theories.
I just hope he doesn't find his Superman voice like Bale did his Batman voice.
As for the hair, yeah, I know it is possible, but it still looks funny to me. So sue me. :)
The beard looks like he shaved his pubes and glued them to his face.
It's interesting. I feel like it's possible it is him trying to "find himself" but the first thought I had, especially with those bare feet was that maybe Zod and the gang defeat him and he is in some way in hiding. But then I wondered if that would be something Superman would even allow. I mean, would he hide or admit defeat to the likes of Zod? Perhaps he is regrouping and figuring out a strategy. Whatever the reason for the SuperHobo look, I'm interested. It's new territory for me to see Superman in.
