Based on Actual Television Shows
Greetings Cinescapers! I've got to come clean and say right of the bat that there have been too many replies to the save TARZAN inquiry for me to give results this week. As of right now I have received over 300 e-mails about the show and since I am a one man operation whose wife/secretary left him for the Domino's pizza boy (he delivers for over 30 minutes) I'm short on the manpower to stay true to my schedule. However I do have preliminary results, so you should all be excited. That is of course excluding those of you who have begged and pleaded with me in your e-mails to stop this TARZAN nonsense. To those readers (Frank, Tom and Dr. Love) I apologize.
Out of the 171 responses that I have had a chance to review 28 were duplicate votes (sorry can't vote more then once), three were from viewers aghast that such a travesty could appear on television and 140 were from loyal TARZAN fans wishing that show would continue on.
One interesting thing with this TARZAN campaign is the tactics used by the fans to save the show. Baskets of fruit and stuffed animals are being sent to the WB executives pleading with them to keep the show alive. One reader suggested that there should be a kill to save TARZAN revolution. That reader has had their e-mail forwarded to the proper authorities.
Alright enough funning here are the e-mail addresses for the campaign:

This week I've added TRU CALLING and THE SIMPLE LIFE to our list of shows, so everybody should be happy.
Hey Cinescapers one reader, Anime4evah, wants to know what musical artist you think would be the most likely to host a special called HO'N FOR THE HOLIDAY'S. Tell me at TVWasteland@cinescape.com.
MONDAY, DECEMBER 8
THE FAIRLY ODDPARENTS (8 pm, Nik) Timmy goes camping, toasts marshmallows, tries fishing, kills a bear with his own hands. (Repeat)
YOGI'S FIRST CHRISTMAS (8 pm, TOON) Yogi and Boo Boo revert to their true bear nature and eat Santa Claus; scarring children everywhere. Yes it's a dark Christmas indeed when Santa comes to Jellystone ... for the last time.
EVERWOOD (9 pm, WB) Delia proves herself little miss potty mouth. (Repeat)
CSI: MIAMI (10 pm, CBS) It's the old guy found skewered by a harpoon routine. (Repeat)
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 9
RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER (8 pm, CBS) Burl Ives tries to make us believe that a red nose would give off light. Preposterous!
MURDER AT 1600 (8 pm, TBS) An address that changes all the rules. Whatever those rules may be.
THE SIMPLE LIFE (8:30 pm, FOX) Paris and Nicole continue to be condescending to everyone, except Nicole's Heroin dealer and Paris' videographer.
24 (9 pm, FOX) 7 pm 8 pm. Jack is held captive. Uses the time to get some shuteye.
OVERBOARD (10 pm, TCM) Look I've come to deal with AMC passing off contemporary crap as "classics" but y tu TCM, y tu.
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 10
ENTERPRISE (8 pm, UPN) While on a tropical planet Archer gets exposed to a virus. Knowing that the show will continue next week and that Archer is the star, the viewers fail to find any suspense in this. (Repeat)
SMALLVILLE (8 pm, WB) Clark has to decide between his destiny and his family. Really if it's his destiny does he have any choice? (Repeat)
JAKE 2.0 (9 pm, UPN) Jake is given a chance to get away from government control by faking his death. Jake says "My dog can play dead too." Jake is slapped in the face.
ANGEL (9 pm, WB) An amulet causes Spike to materialize. (Repeat)
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 11
TRU CALLING (8 pm, WE) Tru takes a quantum leap back in time to help a pair of lovers who died, or will die, in a car crash.
GRANDMA GOT RUN OVER BY A REINDEER (8 pm, WB) Certainly not the song I'd pick for a television adaptation.
CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION (9 pm, CBS) The team is called to investigate the death of a musician's wife. At the funeral, her distraught husband says "They built her casket on rock 'n roll."
WITHOUT A TRACE (10 pm, CBS) A neurosurgeon's disappearance becomes a headache for the team. (Bwah HA HA HA ... oh, I'll shut up.)
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 12
JOAN OF ARCADIA (8 pm, CBS) God starts picking out Joan's men for her.
REBA (8 pm, WB) Kyra drives Barbra Jean insane much to Reba's sadistic pleasure. (Repeat)
STARGATE SG-1 (8 pm, SCI-FI) Jonas' home planet is threatened by Anubis. (Repeat)
KISSIN' COUSINS (10 pm, TCM) Elvis plays two roles in this charmingly insipid "let's turn the hillbillies' mountain into a nuclear missile base" tale. Features Yvonne "Batgirl" Craig and a mildly incestuous romance.
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 13
IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE (8 pm, NBC) Jimmy Stewart plays a downtrodden man redeemed by an angel as only he can. I must confess I love this movie.
A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS/CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS TALES (8 pm, ABC) If you missed it last week here's your chance to catch the greatest Christmas special of them all backed with a more recent Charlie Brown offering.
TEEN TITANS (9 pm, TOON) Robin tries to find Slade's identity. (Repeat)
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 14
CHARMED (8 pm, WB) The sister's are turned into Greek Goddesses so they can defeat the New York Giants ... I'm sorry so they can defeat giants from myth. (Repeat)
THE SIMPSONS (8 pm, Fox) Yet another sitcom variation on Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL.
ALIAS (9 pm, ABC) Even though her memory is faulty the CIA still let Sydney work on a case. (Repeat)
ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT (9:30 pm, FOX) One of the best reviewed shows of the season needs viewers. Cinescapers, why not give this one a try.
Well that's that. I'd like to thank readers Dedpool and Van for their suggestions of the Oatmeal cookie shot and the Bubblegum shot. Gentlemen, these drinks go great with a grain alcohol chaser, thank you.
Till next week you know where to find me: passed out in the john at Grand Central Station.
If you know of a good brand of soap let me know at Tvwasteland@Cinescape.com.
