Beau Bridges Mentoring MAX PAYNE

Beau Bridges has landed a role in the upcoming Fox cop thriller Max Payne, based on the best selling videogame from Rockstar. The trade says Bridges will be playing the character of B.B Hensley, a mentor to young Payne (Mark Wahlberg). Director John Moore is in charge of lensing, based on a screenplay by Beau Thorne. Also cast is Mila Kunis as an assassin. Principal photography began March 3 in Toronto.
Plot Concept: Based on the video game "Max Payne" by Remedy. The story of a New York cop whose wife and baby are killed by thugs high on a designer drug called Valkyr. Devastated, the cop joins the Drug Enforcement Agency and goes undercover with the mob to find the source of the drug. Framed for the murder of his partner and hunted down by both the mob and the police, he is forced to wage a one-man war against crime. Wahlberg will play the titular cop. Mila Kunis will play an assassin who teams with Payne to avenge her sister's death.
Max Payne will hit theaters Oct. 17, 2008.
