There was an Underworld III?
With Sony Screen Gems having already set a September 2011 release for Underworld 4, the next step in the development evolution is scripting out the story to be told. A process that co-creator Len Wiseman says is currently underway. Talking to IGN Movies, the director also said it's very likely that his wife and lead star Kate Beckinsale will be back in the next installment, but they're both waiting to see how the story looks before committing.
"...being written and talked about and hopefully all comes together. So we're seeing how things happen. But we're all keeping our fingers crossed. We're both waiting to see what kind of story comes together. It's just getting the script to a certain place where we're both happy with it."
Screenwriter John Hlavin has been tasked with fleshing out the tale. Set to be shot in 3D, Hlavin has said it won't be a prequel as some previous rumors suggested.
"It will satisfy old fans and excite new audiences, meaning that we don't want to redo the first three movies, so steps are being taken to honor what fans have loved but at the same time introduce fresh elements."
Muenster...yeah, it was the prequel starring Rhona Mitra.
I really enjoyed the Underworld and would love to see Kate return to the franchise. I'm kind of tired of the vampire vs. werewolf storyline. What about having the vampires battling some vampire hunters? It might be interesting to see the familiar story rfom the vampire point of view.

I really liked Underworld 3 even if it wasn't as good as the first. I'm definitely down for another. Glad they're pushing the story forward and not doing another prequel.
Another plus is that is going to be in 3D

The 3D debate rages on, and I am happily neutral on it. Some movies look better with, others not so much. There are pros and cons from both perspectives, and I as a consumer have the choice to see either, and put my money down for the one I choose on a movie by movie basis.
Well put Roqueja. Until movies are played exclusively on 3D I just don't understand the bitching by all these whinners. I guess people have to bitch about something at all times

IF they plan to FILM this in 3-D, you got the makings of a good film, if you CONVERT, you are screwing the film and turning it into large monkey balls.
But Roqueja is right, as long as I have a CHOICE, I will be happy, if I do not have that choice, they better explain . . .
