Beckinsale to join VAN HELSING

Actress to play daughter of vampire hunters

Kate Beckinsale (GOLDEN BOWL, SERENDIPITY) has joined the cast of Universal's VAN HELSING.

According to VARIETY, Beckinsale will play Anna, the daughter of a family dedicated to hunting down Dracula.

VAN HELSING stars Hugh Jackman (X2, SWORDFISH) the title role of the vampire hunter Dr. Van Helsing who battles Dracula, Frankenstein and the Wolf Man. The monsters will all be loose in late Victorian Eastern Europe.

The film starts production in January, with a release date of May 21, 2004.
