And DaFathead, wrong again.

All hail the King, baby!

Again,Rodbabydick, you just don't get it, and showed your ignorance in your post. It's everything I've said was wrong with people who don't understand the book in the context that it was written, because they never lived through the period of time that it was intended to reflect.

Thanks for proving my point.

RodThunderBalls 7/9/2012 7:06:53 PM

Well DaFathead, I'm glad I could assist you in proving a point that you could not do on your own. Although your point is that Alan Moore was making a commentary about characters reflecting a specific period of time and that mine was that is ok to want to continue telling those stories. But if you so desperately needed to find something in my post to help yours, I am happy to assist. Comprehension, helper monkeys, any of that ringing a bell?

Also, thanks for proving my point that you are weak to your convictions, easily goaded, and suffer such an inferiority complex, that you can't admit when you're wrong, which has been all the time with me. I mean really, you feel so inferior that the only way you can regain control is to refer to my handle with incremental severity, which only tells me how much I affect you.

DaFathead: still zero

See, I don't believe it's a matter of being on Moore's side or DC's side. I believe it's a matter of being on the ''respect the originals'' Vs trying to make money with anything.

DC does has the righ to do what they did, it's not the issue. Making it is my issue. Not all stories need more depth like Schindler's List or Spartacus don't need prequels or sequels. The odd chances that something good would come out of it is a possibility but still, not required.

Since so far they don't seem to sell that much and the hype is dying, I'm happy to ignore any of these books and believe the original only exist without any unwanted depth.

Jedibanner: Strongest one there is

Anyoneelse: Smashed

RodThunderBalls 7/9/2012 8:22:37 PM

Well jedibanner, I respect your opinion and look forward to debating comics with you later on.

DaForce1 7/9/2012 9:59:06 PM

Babydick, you never proved a thing. You actually gave evidence in your own post supporting my argument that you don't understand the issue. Especially since you praised Jedibanner (whom I actually have respect for on this board) for the exact same argument that I made.

These forums aren't a win/lose scenario, they're opinions. Your's just happen to be wrong, misguided and dissmissively amusing. Kind of like that of a child's. It's cute. :)

As for the namecalling...well, anyone with the audacity to name themselves something as ridiculous as your handle, deserves a renaming ceremony. I was just running through the options until I found something suitable. Which I have. Enjoy your new name.

Wow, you've completely run out of ammo and you're still strivin' to keep the dream alive. Nice! Do what you gotta, believe what you gotta, say what you gotta, and call me what you gotta to compensate for your inferiority complex. But if you feel like I'm so dismissive and unimportant, why do you keep giving me the time of day? All this attention from you, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. I'm happy that you think I'm cute too, after all this, I wouldn't want to be unattractive in your eyes.

RodThunderBalls 7/9/2012 10:39:44 PM

Oh yeah...

Well I feel respected all of a sudden.

It is fair to say opinions vary and sometimes, it's hard to keep our emotions out of our post...I know I've lost control over a few post in the past but still, it's only discussions, no one is officially right or wrong.

On this issue, some are buying the books, I think many are waiting for the trades, many more are just ignoring the book entirelly. To each his own.

By the way the picture, is she related to you or.....

Jedi, it was just someone dressed up at comic con a couple years ago. I just really liked her costume.
