Being Human: Wouldn’t It be Nice (If We Were Human)

Then we wouldn't have to wait so long...

Being Human is one of those light TV genre shows that just grows on you. The characters become more endearing and in this case the episodes get better each week. This week’s episode seemed to focus on acceptance and hoping to make the best of the cards you’re dealt. Each of the characters finds themselves dealing with what they are, and accepting that they aren’t human. Unfortunately these are lessons learned in difficult ways. In the episode we met ray a bizarre werewolf with a chip on his shoulder who brings as much bad as he does good to this little supernatural apartment. Best line of the episode comes from ray when he’s about to kill some vampires: “You ready to pop some tics?” This is an evolutionary episode for the werewolf and the ghost rather than expanding the larger story. The vampire finds himself drawn back into some older mistakes even though he is the worldliest and assumedly the wisest of he three. It’s entertaining fluffy genre TV and there’s nothing wrong with that on a Monday night.

Sorry, I find it pretty dull.  If anything better was on Mondays at 9:00pm I'd watch that but since there isn't, I'll put Being Human on and hope it gets better.

I've already given up on it as a pale imitation of the UK original, which is three episodes into its awesome third season.
