WTDD has Iron Patriot spy pictures. Looks pretty awesome to me.

Hahahaha, you are DEAD right there millean, I was just making a comparison with how he expect the character to look, but I think in the world we now live in, the whole racially insensitive 'oriental villain' thing may seem a bit dated and Ben Kingsley fits the bill as the man behind the legend, so to speak...

Mandarin is to Iron Man like Norman Osborn is to Spider-Man.  Stark has such a large rogues gallery that you can't put him in the same league as Red Skull or Doctor Doom, but he is certainly Stark's main enemy.

It's not like Kingsley has won a best actor Oscar for playing an Asian.  Oh wait he has.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS - Mandarin baby!

But Chow Y F would have been cool as well ...

IM2 was ok ... not "meh" but ok ... best part was when he discovered his dad's hidden message and found that formula/particle thingy for clean arc energy ... or something

Wise, I just saw those Patriot pictures.  Bad-ass!  Thanks for the news!

Kingsley as Mandarin could work for me.  Yeah, Chow Yun Fat would have been a good choice, too, but when Kingsley turns on his acting brights, the guy can't be beat.  House of Sand & Fog is one of my favorite films and I forgot I was even watching Sir Ben in a role.  The guy can become a total chameleon and provide a more down-to-earth type of intimidation on par with the rest of the cinematic Iron Man rogues or he could really amp up and give the Mandarin a sense of regal menace that we really haven't seen yet in the series.  Personally, I think it'd be cool to see a villain just as extravagant and as big a personality as Tony Stark in the next film.

I'm not counting Sam Rockwell's Justin Hammer 'cause he seemed more like a second fiddle to Rourke's more serious Whiplash.

Apparently they don't hold security guards in high regard.

So, its gonna be Mandarin and some Iron Patriot wannabe(look it up), as the villians. This should be interesting.

I still think IM2 is as Awesome as the first one... just me? OK ;)

Also Whats the big deal with Kingsley playing an Asian, he did it when he played Gandi (yes, India is in Asia, which makes them Asians) and no one flinched when Liam Neeson was cast as a middle eastern character...

It's obviously not the end of the world but all I'm saying is that there are much better/simpler choices to play Mandarin, especially when there are plenty of great Chinese actors out there for the part.. I think he's much more believable looking as ghandi than the Mandarin btw. Some races actors can easily get away with And I get that, but some are not. It's not that hard to understand is it??
