And Benderspink continues to amass an assortment of upcoming comic adaptations. The trades are confirming that they're adding one more to their list, the latest being the Red 5 Comics title ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction, says Variety. The adaptation of Kevin Grevioux's (Underworld) comic was brought to the company by production coordinator Josh Feldman and will be produced by Benderspink.

Plot Concept:
Air-dropped into the deadliest hot zones, the walking dead of "ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction" indiscriminately infect every last warring insurgent -- on either side of the conflict. Specifically engineered to be photosensitive, once enemy infection becomes complete by dawn, both the originals and newly created zombies dissolve as a means to control widespread and accidental zombification. This allows live soldiers to enter and safely occupy the now-combatant-free territory. However, this plan takes a deadly turn when one of the U.S. zombies, dubbed -- Zombie Zero -- fails to dissolve at the expected time, and begins to wreak havoc in the Middle East by creating others like him. This leads the U.S. military brass to send in a special operative to quietly take out Zombie Zero and his minions before their existence becomes known to the rest of the world.

Other comic adaptations coming from Benderspink--created by Chris Bender and J.C Spink---include Pencilneck, Y: The Last Man, Power and Glory, The Ghouly Boys, Pet Robots and Area 52.

That sounds like it has possibilities. Love zombies and this is a whole new take on the genre. Now we wait to see what sort of production value this is going to have.

Totally agree with my buddy Wiseguy. I thought the same thing using the Zombies as a weapon with a timeline. But all goes haywire when the Zombie starts adapting to the sunlight and not dissolving. And now the weapon AKA Zombie starts getting out of control. So that means then when the live soldiers enter in they head in to a nasty surprise. Nice I cant wait to see how this comes out. I love me some Zombie movie. Shit I still watch the old school Zombi movie when they go to a Island to look for a ladies pops.
