Bendis Talks ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN

ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN writer Brian Michael Bendis announced upcoming plans for the title to coincide with the release of the SPIDER-MAN movie in May.
First of all, ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN #22 will be double-sized.
"It will be the return of the Goblin, who just happens to be the villain in the movie, so that's good timing there," Bendis says. "We're going to answer a lot of the unanswered questions in the ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN series about Norman Osborn and what that Goblin thing was and half why he was half-green and half-flesh colored and why he couldn't talk. All of that stuff will be answered in a very dramatic, but teenaged fashion.
"Also, you're going to see some very cool Gwen Stacy stuff that I don't think you guys will see coming."
Also arriving in May is an ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN SPECIAL.
"I can't tell you who the art creative team involved is," Bendis says. "You will never guess in a million years. And I'm very excited about it."
Bendis says the format isn't set yet, but it looks to be a prestige book.
