Two more have joined the upcoming sequel to S.Darko, the sequel to the original Donnie Darko. HR is reporting that Elizabeth Berkley and Briana Evigan have joined current stars Ed Westwick ("Gossip Girl"), Justin Chatwin and Daveigh Chase, who's reprising her role from the original cult classic. Director Chris Fisher is leading the project and production has begun in Utah.

Plot Concept:
The story, set seven years after the first film, follows Donnie Darko's sister, Samantha, who, in dealing with her broken family, flees town with her best friend (Evigan) when they are plagued by bizarre visions. Berkley is playing a speed freak-turned-Jesus freak whose sentiments about ridding the world of its exponential sin are rivaled only by her infatuation with her dreamy pastor.

As an obsessed fan of the original film, why oh why are they making this? With Kelly not being involved on any level, no matter how minute, this movie is bound for straight-to-dvd. Unless I hear that it's anything like the first, I will not be watching this. Shame on Hollywood.

Man, two words scream utter doom and failure for this movie, if nothing else about it does. "Elizabeth Berkley!" This is the biggest waste of film ever,... this month. And what the hell is up with selling Donnie Darko, a great, cult classic with Swimfan? Who would buy this 2 -pack? Its like selling filet mignon with a side of dog turd. No matter how good the filet mignon looks on your plate, its sitting next to a stinky corn-fulled dog turd.

You just made me hungry ponyboy. :-P

This flick is an insult to the original. Now more than ever with the casting of Jessie Spano. Hey why don't they cast Screech, Corey Haim, and Feldman. At least there would be some good laughs. The Studio needs burned down for green lighting this atrocity. Chris Fisher should of passed on this dumb ass idea. If he had any chance as making as a director its all gone now.

Okay. Who's the asshole that green lit this fart? Why the fuck can we not have a movie that stands perfectly on its own stand on its own? NOBODY who fell in love with the original film can possibly be tricked by this utterly crass idea of a bowel movement. Jesus H. Tap-dancing Christ! How does one go about getting a Cease And Desist order?

I have dreaded this ever since mania announced it...and the news keeps getting worse...Elizabeth "Showgirls" Berkley...you have to be fucking kidding me. Of course this is going to straight to DVD, and after thats announced your going to hear from the guy who actually greenlit this dumb ass idea saying "well, with the original the DVD made it the cult classic it was, so there was really no other choice." Yeah did you read that studio head-- CULT CLASSIC!!! DON'T FUCK WITH IT! I would slap everyone involved with this if I could. If I had the money to do it I would pay this studio and compensate the director and stop this travesty before it goes any further. This is the worst news I've heard in monthes. I might even have to change my picture now lol

I hope someone involved with this goes to this website and reads that everyone with a right mind and who fucking loved the original---ARE NOT FUCKING INTERESTED IN THIS FUCKING SEQUEL!!!!

(Sorry for all the FUCKS, but FUCK...what other word could be used)

Briana Evigan? I thought it was gonna be Greg Evigan. He could have had bizarre visions of a chimp named Bear.

Berkley from Saved by the Bell? Not much of her going around after the bloody disappoint of Showgirls, now is there? Donnie Darko is actually a fairly deep and moving movie, why on earth would they want to try and milk a sequel off of it? With another director no doubt? amazing how people can obtain jobs remaking others ideas when the more talented and original ideas are overlooked?

What a waste, who cares about Donnie Darko the sequel? Showgirls 2 is where it’s at son!
Boobies, dancing, sex in a pool, great comedic performances, I think we all could use a little more of that.

Damn, monkeyfoot! Beat me to it! That was the same thing I thought!
