I guess this airhead does not remember flying in to fight toad in the first XMEN. How about working on the voice of storm and not the valley girl voice you have. And what about the body of storm is so important--is there a new costume that reveals her belly. This isnt CATWOMAN but it soon could be, HAL E probably wants her to make a cameo.

Well Storm has always been a major character in X-Men and she's right that she doesn't get to do enough. So she flew one time and she had a number of different costumes over the years and could show herself off more. She should be sounding more like an African princess (or goddess) and not like an American girl. I don't know what this film is going to cover, but it sounded like her part wasn't going to be that big here unless things have changed

The character of Storm didn't come into being until the 1970's. Having read X-Men since the beginning in the early 60's, I know. She was never one of the originals. Sure, she might be a piece of eyecandy, but she ain't the end all.

I still haven't seen "Catwoman". Was Halle a fine piece of tail in that?

What's w/the obsession w/new characters in every sequel? Does it say somewhere in the movie studio handbooks that new characters = money? I would think that history would logically utter "HELL FREAKIN' NO!" (Batman sequels, almost all sitcoms that diverge from the core characters, Lethal Weapons, etc etc etc). If Cyclops and Nightcrawler are outta this one why not just keep this a tightknit group led by Wolvie, Iceman, Stormy, Rogue, Prof X, Pheonix, and the school? If we have to have new characters why not diverge from this whole gov't/Magneto scenario they've been riding during the last 2 movies? Pheonix alone should provide enough story for one movie. As for Halle? Well, they can't undo what they've done so I guess keep her in the flick but please oh please don't make her a central figure in the movie. Dietvanilla, as you've been following Halle's exploits throughout your posts I was a bit disappointed that you didn't thrash her about more vividly in your post since this news bit was mostly all about her. It's your theme and you're dropping the mic.

Man, Halle Berry was seriously miscast. "The Perfect Storm" (pun!) would be Angela Bassett. She's got the attitude and inner fire that Halle's willowy cotton candy-soft portrayal misses.

Everyone seems to be so worried about halle berry as storm but this film has lot more problems going for it than halle berry. It would be impossible to transfer over everything from the comics. I mean the chances of an african pricess meeting xavier in the real world just doesnt seem all that logical. In her defense, she hasnt had alot to work with so far. Her character has had the least amount of storyline on screen next to cyclops. Im more worried about the fact that they are not going with the dark phoenix storyline as the main centerpiece and instead are using another crazy machine making people loco story. As a child, the phoenix storyline was one of my favorite storylines next to the age of apocalypse and it would make sense to incorporate it in this movie. The first file dealt with mutant vs mutant. The 2nd movie dealt with man vs mutant. The final should deal with mutant vs evolution and thats just what the phoenix storyline represents. The casting looks terrible as well. Hopefully, vinnie wont make shaq's performance in kazaam look oscar worthy. And what about this rumour that cyclops gets killed? Anybody heard that as well? Im very curious indeed?

Also did anyone else hear that Ben Foster was almost signed for angel/warrent worthington 3? The characters they have chosen for this movie dont seem like they will mesh well together? Adding lots of new characters doesnt always make for a good movie. Anyone remember batman and robin?

I have also read that Cyclopse dies. The script review I read also said that another major character dies, but didn't say the name directly. However, it was strongly hinted at that Xavier also dies. Which may just mean that Stewart doesn't want to do more movies. Regardless, my hopes are not too high for this one anymore, although I will love to see Beast and Gambit. Hopefully they do the characters justice.

I would also like to add that I think I saw this script review on AICN, so you can decide if you actually want to believe a word in it.

Regarding Malaysian transexual Hal E. Berry let her run around thinking shes a great actress cause she got a pity Oscar. She could be the female Ernest Borgnine or Brad Douriff with her little overhyped statue. Im sure her personal Stuart Smalley aka Oprah wide aisles Winfrey has to reassue her dailey as to avoid any clashing between her shoes and purse of the hour. Grace Jones is a better actress and would have been great as storm.
