I am a huge fan of Besson's work and think the 5th Element is one of the best scifi movies ever, so I'm looking for this to be very entertaining and a great movie for the kids.

I too am a Besson fan. I think The Fifth Element is an under-rated classic., but I have a feeling that these "troll" thingies are going to seriously annoy me.

...yah... this does look a tad annoying... can one sit for a couple of hours and watch this not squirming... I donno... looks very odd. I hope the film isn's loaded with those little trolls... that looks very disturbing.

If these things are all supposed to be "living in harmony with nature", why are they all carrying swords and daggers?

Madonna's involvement will ensure this makes no money, given her (film) track record.

I read the first book; it was cute, but a little simplistic. I dig Besson as a director so I'll go see this one anyway... In the book there's a bit of romance between Arthur and Selenia, could be weird in the movie given the voice actors' age differences, we'll see.

So who is Gary Oldman playing. It's not a Luc Besson film without him. Although David Bowie is certainly an acceptable addition/replacement.

I love the 5th Element, but where's the love for The Professional? These are two of my favorite movies. I'm definitely looking forward to this. Bowie + Besson = Awesome!
