For me, this was a great episode and found it very funny. Sheldon's becoming more and more ''human'' week.

Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) can be really awful people sometimes. We’re reminded of this in the opening scene this week as they snicker behind their hands at real-life author Brian Greene attempting to explain physics theories to laymen. That mean-spiritedness continues into the meat of the episode as they launch an experiment to track the spread of gossip through their circle of friends. Granted, said gossip involves their own (fictitious) dealings and not the activities of anyone else, but the shtick basically goes nowhere fast, while falling on the wrong side of Sheldon’s social blindness to boot. Howard’s (Simon Helberg) incredibly sweet proposal to Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) softens the blow somewhat, but it still can’t erase the sour taste left in the episode’s wake.

If by awful, mean spirited and sour you mean hilarious....then yes I agree.
This episode got a C? That is just craziness. That was one of the funniest episodes ever. I found myself laughing out loud so many times. I even kept this episode in my TIVO just so I can go back and laugh again and again.
To me this was a goofy "fart joke" style of episode and I found I was laughing quite a bit. I am not shocked at the score, yet comedy is such a hard thing to rate as sooo many people have complete different tastes.
