The DVD release of Ghost World is set for February 5, 2002. ICv2.com recently featured a write-up the disc's release. The DVD has a suggested retail price of $26.98, but it can be pre-ordered from many online vendors at less that $21.00 shipped.
The DVD willcontain extras like deleted and alternate scenes, a "making-of" featurette, interviews with the cast and crew, and a rare music video.
Fans who haven't gotten on the DVD bandwagon may be disappointed to learn that the VHS edition will carry a hefty $32.00 price tag. This odd pricing is much higher than standard priced-to-own tapes, but well below the $100 ballpark of priced-to-rent tapes.
