
Acclaimed comicbook adaptation Road To Perdition narrowly missed an upward moveto #1 this weekend, taking in a mere $30,000 less than newbie StewartLittle 2, according to studio estimates.
BoxOffice Mojo reports that the live-action mouse sequel debuted with a weekendtake of $15.6 million at 3,255 theaters. Road expanded itspresence to 2,159 in its second weekend and collected $15.57 million. Box officeactuals are expected later to day which could possibly have the two moviestrading places on the chart.
That other comicmovie, Men In Black 2, dropped down to #3 this week, just trailingthe leaders with its estimated $15 million take. It still managed to beat-outthe Harrison Ford opener K-19: The Widowmaker.
