
Variety.comreports that F/X houses Cinesite and Rhythm & Hues have landed the lion'sshare of special effects work for X-Men 2.
Cinesite is onboard to create about 300 shots, up from the 200 or so they created for theoriginal. Look for the company to focus on 3-D character animation. Past work inthis area includes the robot seen in the movie Red Planet.
Visual effectssupervisor Stephen Rosenbaum (Terminator 2: Judgment Day) andvisual effects producer Ralph Horan, formerly of Sony Pictures Imageworks, willlead the charge for Cinesite.
Rhythm &Hues will create over 100 shots. Richard Hollander (Harry Potter and theSorcerer's Stone) will oversee for the company. R&H work can be seenin Men in Black II and the upcoming Daredevil.
Kleiser-Walczak,are also expected to provide visual effects for X-Men 2.
