The Top 10 TV Shows of 2010 (Article) - 1/5/2011 7:22:19 AM

Terrible list.

Lost #1? I could get past that, but no Supernatural? The Event? V? So I guess all you have to be is genre to be on the list. I would have put Flash Forward on before The Event and we see how that went (which is probably the same fate for The Event).

My problem with Lost, is it just lasted to long for its storyline, much like great shows before it. If this list was a couple of years ago fine. If you are ranking it due to nostalgia, fine. But it wasn't #1 in 2010.

Not listing Supernatural is a disservice to the site, the show and humanity! Seriously though, thsi has been the most consistent genre show on TV and it has been consistently great. Even this site's own reviews rarely have it dipping to average and usually is at the top.

Where is Human Target? And if we want to spread out a bit, Sons of Anarchy is a top 10 show on TV period.

SMALLVILLE - 10.6 - Harvest Review (Article) - 11/3/2010 7:16:59 AM

It was OK, not terrible but not great. As someone late to the game, I really wish the series wasn't coming to an end and that they had gone ahead with the Gotham series concept, which I think could have been amazing and much darker.

Imo, it seems this episode was really about Lil Lex and Tess, while the Lois and Clark interaction was secondary. Yes, it could have been better, but hopefully this will serve as a softball to set up coming episode(s).

Am I the only one still holding out for a return by Rosenbaum? Just started rewatching the series on HDNet when it re-cycled a couple weeks ago, and he really was great. Seems like it would be damn easy to do with the rapidly aging clone business.

13 Great Horror Films You May Not Have Heard Of (Article) - 10/22/2010 10:27:54 AM

Dead and Buried is a really good movie. Definitely a good watch for Halloween time.

Audition is a very disturbing movie that kind of suddenly becomes great. Maybe my favorite Asion horror movie.

Dog Soldiers is definitely one of the best movies to air on SyFy. I've never seen it uncut, but it is simply good.

Shutter is another very creepy film. If you haven't seen the American version, definitely watch the original first.

I would give mine as "The Evil" from 1978. It has been a long time since I have seen it, but I remember it being pretty fun and scary.

Supernatural: Weekend at Bobby's Review (Article) - 10/20/2010 9:04:40 AM

Damn, can't you guys get rid of these idiots?

The Event: Casualties of War Review (Article) - 10/20/2010 9:02:50 AM

GreatOne, you will probably watch the first episode and wonder if you should delete the others. It is a bit choppy and annoying. It gets far better and has seemed to improve every week. I would give it at least 3 episodes before you decide. I nearly gave it up after the pilot, but now I anticipate each new episode.

Supernatural: Weekend at Bobby's Review (Article) - 10/18/2010 7:54:28 AM

This season may be a little disappointing, but it is still better than most crap on TV. I'm just anxious to find out what Sam's deal is. Padalecki(sp) is doing a really good job of playing him just enough differently to let us know something is coming, but not making it to obvious.

I like the addition of Mitch Pileggi, but his "crew" of family hunters. seem contrived. Awesome to see Cass back, he plays perfectly with/against the brothers.

I think we as fans have just become very comfortable with the dynamic set forth so far in the series, and this season is kind of straying from that, so we feel a little uncomfortable.

Overall, it is still awesome and next weeks episode looks like it will be a lot of fun. How can anything titled "live Free or Twi-hard" not be amazing, lol!

TV Wasteland: Toil and Trouble (Article) - 10/5/2010 8:21:53 AM

Glad to hear Human Target is getting off of Fridays, where TV shows go to die. I did like the pairing with The Good Guys, but oh well.

Nikita is surprisingly OK. Not great, but better than most of the crap that came out this season.

The Event is picking up steam. I hated the premire, but week 2 improved and this week has me anticipating next week. Can't help but wonder what a Chuck/Heroes/Event Monday would have done, assuming Heroes could have improved.

Never thought I would say this, but Hawaii 5-0 may be my favorite new show. It has likeable cast members and a good balance of drama/action/chuckles. It kind of beckons back to the old Magnum PI days. Besides, Garce Park is hot!

Dexter: Hello Bandit Review (Article) - 10/5/2010 8:11:37 AM

Well worth it.

So glad Rita and the kids are gone. Now let's do some damage!

TV Wasteland: Femme Fatal (Article) - 9/9/2010 8:06:11 AM

Basterds was a good movie, though, like most other movies, it could have been far better. I agree more of the basterds would have balanced it out better.

Sons of Anarchy is awesome! Quietly one of the better shows on TV (along with Friday Night Lights).

Vampire Diaries is far better than Twilight, though that is more a statement of how bad Twilight is.

Giving Nikita a shot, mainly due to Maggie Q (I'm a poet!). Good move by CW to start it out early, while there is no competition. I do however expect it to go away from my DVR pretty soon.

Last week for Psych until November, hurry back!

Stallone walked away from his other franchises thinking this would be the new thing. Not so much...
