Ah, food shopping, that timeless and necessary ritual. What happens, however, when you intrust that important task to a little kid who barely knows how to get around town? Watch and see.

What They Say
When Minette and Garnet head to the marketplace to gather the ingredients needed for dinner, an encounter with a stray cat and a run-in with Chelsea could keep the food from making it to the table.

The Review!
Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers)
Before the opening, we see a young girl playing with cats. Nothing special there. Then a boy comes out and the girl goes to him, with a cane to help her. What this has to do with anyone we've actually seen before, your guess is as good as mine.

After the opening, we have the usual silliness around the kitchen table as the members of the Oasis Adventuring Clan sit down for breakfast. Their usual easy breakfast is interrupted slightly by the appearance of Garnet, you might remember her, the dragon they met back at the beginning of the show. She only appears as a floating image, but she's shown up now, as, well, she's bored. Wondering what quest she might help out with today, it appears that there is nothing for her to help out with: there are no quests scheduled for that day, so all of the members of Oasis are off doing their day jobs. This leaves Minette bored as well, so Leicester asks Minette to keep Garnet company. Nina thinks up of a way to make Minette happy: she asks her to perform a "quest" for her, to go out shopping to get the ingredients needed for tonight's dinner, which is curry.

So, off Minette goes shopping, with Garnet along for the trip. While this is normally a really simple task, we are talking about Minette here, who seems to have the knowledge and experience of a 5-year-old (even if she looks twice that age). Nina is not without some sense of that, as she asks the Tortilla Sisters to follow Minette stealthily and watch over her. So, we get to watch Minette be cute and walk around town, getting slightly lost, but being conveniently helped along the way by others.

Eventually, she and Garnet split up, after they meet the constantly-lost Chelsea, who was supposed to be with Carina at the sacred cathedral, but who, of course, got lost as usual. Minette asks Garnet to guide Chelsea to her intended destination, though this leaves Minette all alone to complete the shopping. That would not be such a big deal, but Minette gets distracted on the way to the butcher's shop by a young girl. It appears to be the same young girl we saw before the opening animation, and she is carrying a cane. She had stopped in the middle of the street, since she felt weak. Minette, kind-hearted little girl she is, could not just pass her by, and so she helps her out. Minette then passes some time with Miriam (the girl's name), walking to the butcher's. Of course, danger is ever-present...or not. What is present is a poor little cat that is caught up on a high ledge. Minette, energetic girl she is, climbs up to save the cat, though she almost gets into major trouble herself as she falls off of the pile of boxes she had climbed to get the cat. Fortunately for her, Leicester had been watching her the whole time since she came upon Miriam, and he quickly swoops in to catch Minette before she could hit the ground.

The day is saved, the cat is saved (the owner is very grateful) and dinner is on its way. Except that Minette never made it to the butcher's, so it looks like it will be vegetable curry for the night. Of course, good deeds get rewarded in fantasy, and such is the case here, as the Tortilla Sisters suddenly appear with a package addressed to Minette: a high quality hunk of beef roast, a thank you from the butcher, who happened to be the owner of the cat that Minette had saved earlier.

In Summary:
For this episode, the staff decided to focus on cute without any fanservice or strong sexual overtones. Yes, that means they focused on the character of Minette, who is basically a wide-eyed little girl who screams "cute!" with everything she says and does. Thus, we get Minette going off on a shopping trip, since there are no quests scheduled for the day and everyone else in Oasis is off doing their other jobs. Minette has Garnet, the apparition dragon spirit who helped the group once before, as her companion for the shopping trip. Of course, it's not going to be a completely simple trip to the grocery store, as Minette has to deal with getting lost, helping the always-lost Chelsea, and dealing with a dangerous situation to a small, cute, furry creature. Overall, this episode is fine...if you are fine with watching Minette go around and be cute for an entire episode. If not, you are going to be bored. Very bored.
