As we open, Chelsea is receiving instructions from a mysterious woman who is behind a curtain (we don't actually see her at all, and can only assume it is a woman as we hear a female voice). Chelsea is tasked with preventing a calamity from occurring within Ert'Aria. In addition to that, the voice also has another vision, one specifically for Chelsea: in Ert'Aria, she will find happiness.
It appears that it's party time for the Sacred Knights, as Duke Verritti is holding a party for them. This means that someone has to guard the sacred artifacts within the cathedral. The Oasis adventuring clan company is hired to take on the "quest" (which just seems to be a synonym for contract most of the time in this show), though not everyone is going to be on guard duty. Since Carina's father is the one holding the party, she will be there. Chelsea is, of course, one of the Sacred Knights, so she will be at the party. Agnes is booked as the entertainment, while Minette apparently has a large number of fans among the Sacred Knights, and they would like her to attend as well. So, it's basically just the guys, Leicester and Nick, who will be off on boring guard duty.
The party itself is a lavish affair, and so everyone is dressed for the occasion. Chelsea, who normally just wears her knight's uniform, is in a splendid ball gown chosen for her by Carina, who got her own form of entertainment helping her into it the first time. Minette is fawned over by a group of male knights, while Agnes starts up her puppet routine. All seems well, until we go outside, to see the Torilla Sisters and their giant golem standing guard (they were hired to provide the security for the ducal mansion during the party). As they are engaged in their usual and boring comic shtick, a mysterious creature whizzes by them. Breaking into the mansion, the creature attacks, throwing the party into chaos. Minette calls out Garnet, who identifies the creature as a "Great Viper GX" crystite monster (the others do a collective eye roll at the name Garnet gives the creature, a name she doesn't even consistently stick to throughout the episode).
While the guests evacuate, Carina, Chelsea and Agnes try to take on the beast. Minette asks Garnet to go and get Leicester. The fight does not go well, since the creature moves extremely quickly and is near invisible except when it is ready to attack. After some useless flailing and clothing damage, the girls stand about, largely helpless. At this moment, Garnet returns with Leicester, who makes a quick survey of the scene. Figuring out that the creature is attracted by light sources, he devises a plan to get it to attack him, while Chelsea delivers the final blow to the crystite monster (she doesn't kill it, she just separates the crystite gem from the cobra that it had taken over). After the fight, Chelsea collapses, not too surprising since she mentioned earlier on that she had had a bit too much to drink at the party.
Leicester carries Chelsea to the Oasis Clan house on his back (with Carina being seriously jealous). He then puts her to bed, though not without seeing her in a state of near undress (in the original game, we can safely assume this is the point at which the two would "get to know each other better"). Here, however, Leicester, like a proper gentleman, leaves before anything else can occur, making sure she is comfortable in bed, alone. Chelsea does, however, tell Leicester that she had a good time that night.
It's party time, but a gatecrashing creature ruins the fun for everyone. For all of their power and reputation, it would appear the Sacred Knights are not capable of handling one little crystite monster. Neither are the combined powers and talents of Carina and Agnes either. It takes Leicester to come along and save the day. Typical. And that is what this episode is again, typical of the others we have seen so far. Quest received. Crystite monster appears. Leicester is key in defeating the monster. Later on, Leicester gets to see one of the girls (it's Chelsea's turn this time) nearly naked. So, things were definitely following the standard formula this episode, unlike last week's episode. There were a few cute moments (Minette being bombarded with sweets by her admirers), but there is really very little of substance to this show so far, though in its defense, the produces probably have no interest in creating substance.
