Blizzard's STARCRAFT II Hitting Dec 3?

It seems we may have an official release date for Blizzard's long awaited sequel Starcraft II. I say may because there's a big event for the developer coming this weekend in Paris and it just so happens that now, three major retailers have went ahead and put the release date at December 3, 2008. Perhaps, they know the announcement coming from the event and had approval to list the sale date. Or perhaps, they're wrong. We shall have a confirmation in a few days if the date is in fact correct.
The three big retailers with the same December 3 date comes from Best Buy, Gamestop and Circuit City.
As of May of last year, more than nine million copies of the original Starcraft installment have been sold since it hit markets over 10 years ago.
Plot Concept: Set in the 26th century, the game revolves around three species—the Terrans, humans exiled from Earth; the Zerg, a race of insectoids obsessed with assimilating other races in pursuit of genetic perfection; and the Protoss, a humanoid species with advanced technology and psionic abilities attempting to preserve their civilization from the Zerg—fighting for dominance in a distant part of the Milky Way galaxy.
