Actress Moon Bloodgood has joined as the female lead in the upcoming Terminator Salvation trilogy, says the Hollywood Reporter. She will be co-starring alongside Christian Bale, Sam Worthington and Anton Yelchin in the Halcyon Co. production, which is scheduled to hit theaters Memorial Day 2009. Halcyon's Victor Kubicek and Derek Anderson are producing with Moritz Borman and Jeff Silver. David Campbell Wilson, John Brancato and Michael Ferris wrote the screenplay. Peter Graves, Dan Lin and Jeanne Allgood are executive producing. Production is set to begin May 5.

Plot Summary: "Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins" will reinvent the cyborg saga with a storyline to be told over a three-movie span. The film is set in the future, in a full-scale war between Skynet and humankind. Christian Bale is playing John Connor while Sam Worthington is playing a new key figure in the war named Marcus. Bloodgood will play a no-nonsense and battle-hardened member of the resistance.

I love the Terminator, and can't wait for the new trilogy to come out. I thought they dropped the salvation title. Did they bring it back or what?

I'm with Redheaven. I was sure they got rid of the title. Awhile back there was an article about it just being the "Untitled Terminator movie" or something like that. Ah yes, looking at the "Related Content" on the right side of the screen it says on March 11 that the Salvation title was dropped.

Oh well, title aside, it's going to be a fun movie and I wish it were ready now.

That actress has an awesome name. Moon Bloodgood?

i have been all for more terminator since......forever. the reason is terminator is a great and plausible premise, the fact that man finally creates a true a.i. and it turns against man is so logical and probable, it also inspired the matrix to some extent.

It seems either that report was untrue or the name is staying until an alternate is approved. WB's official site still has it listed as Terminator Salvation for us anyway.

Cool, I liked her in Journeyman and Day Break.
On another note, does anyone know if they have renewed The Sarah Chronicles yet? I like the show.

Journeyman was fantastic. Naturally, they'll probably drop it now that the strike is over... Last I heard, Sarah Connor hadn't been officially renewed, but ratings were good enough that the chances were good for renewal. *crosses fingers*

I heard that filming on the new Terminator film may have been pushed back, just weeks before filming was to have started. Don't know how true that is. And word is that The Sarah Connor Chronicles has been renewed.

Ditto on the SCC, that was one of the best shows on TV and I'm glad they didn't get to caught up in the teenage drama side. I'm all for Terminator continuations, as long as they are well done. Hard to go wrong with Bale.

So I guess in the ruins of the post apocalyptic world, when not fighting the machines, humans can still get breast implants.

Good for Moon Bloodgood, she was great on "Journeyman" which is all I've ever seen her in other than I think the very short-lived "Daybreak" series. Too bad that "Journeyman" got canceled because I really thought it had some potential.
