Video game character to "pose" topless in next month's magazine

It was bound to happen sooner or later. After all, video game heroines have done swimsuit ads, even been hired as virtual models by talent agencies. But there's never been anything like this until now.

The virtual, video game character of BloodRayne will pose topless in next month's issue of Playboy magazine.

The news first broke on the official BLOODRAYNE 2 website owned by the game's distributor, Majesco. "If you felt teased by her sexy Girls of Gaming cover, then this new feature art is going to blow your mind! Rayne is 100% topless and smokin' hot in the October issue of PLAYBOY magazine," reported the site. "This is a first in videogame history and trust us when we say that Rayne does not disappoint. The magazine hits newsstands in early September so here's a great excuse to get a copy!"

It's all part of a smart marketing campaign to create awareness for Majesco's sequel, due to hit game store shelves on November 4. With a BLOODRAYNE movie also in development (starring T3's Kristanna Loken as the vampy character), the awareness for the half-vampire warrior is only just continuing to grow.
