Date: Wednesday, December 21, 2005

BLOODRAYNE is set in 18th century Romania, and centers on Rayne, a girl with a human mother and vampire father, who possesses superhuman strength but a soft side for humans. She decides to find her vampire father, who is the powerful vampire Kagan. On her journey, she is befriended by two vampire hunters and learns that there are three Talisman organs -- a heart, an eye and a rib from her ancestor vampire, Beliar -- which Kagan covets, that will make him so powerful that he will throw the earth into darkness and vampires will rule forever.

The film stars Kristanna Loken, Michael Madsen, Michelle Rodriguez, Ben Kingsley, and Matthew Davis. It was directed by Uwe Boll from a script by Guinevere Turner.

This trailer has been out for quite a long time.

Woah, my eyes are tearing. That was the worst trailer I have ever seen in my entire life. " a daughter, a new warrior, a crappy director, who rapes video games, a cast of decent actors who didn't realize what they were getting themselves into, and the voiceover guy from every other movie trailer, star in "a pile of shit" directed by no other then Uwe Boll.
--good grief

Uwe Boll is just an awful director. He's got to be smart thoguh, because he keeps getting money to makes films, and since he casts his films at the 11th hour, he can get name actors who are in between projects looking for a paycheck. From what I read, Madsen was drunk most days and Kingsley pretty much read through his lines. Loken is lovely to look at, but couldn't act her way out of a paper bag. This movie is going to be soooooo bad, but the worst part is that I'll probably go see it because my little brother and I love vampire-themed movies...even bad ones.

You think this trailer is bad? Go track down the trailer for Uwe Boll's Dungeon Siege movie, that makes Bloodrayne look Oscar worthy.

You're right egoodman2004. That trailer was pretty bad too. If anyone's interested, the following site has a 10 second clip of marvel's Ghost Rider

It's a shame for Boll's movies, because I've always enjoyed the genre of movies like Bloodrayne and Dungeon Siege. I really want to like the movies, but when I see them I'm always so disappointed, and afer having seen Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy I can't help but compare all similar movies to those. i was hoping Dungeon Siege might be good, because I'm a fan of jason Statham's, but my hope faded after seeing the clip.

May the bloodrayne movie RIP. Maybe in 20 years Christopher Nolan will save the franchise.

I agree with you wessmith, I think Lord of the Rings made a new standard in fantasy movies, and seeing Hollywood, I don't think a new standard will come along anytime soon.

That was quite horrible. I post over at the Trek BBS boards as well and there is a thread there about "Worst Vampire Movies" ever. I do believe this one will make mention once it comes out.
I mean Meatloaf is in this. Michelle Rodriguez, Michael Madsen and Ben Kingsly along with a no name director and your leads only star part was as a mute cyborg.
This movie has USA Up Allnight written all over it.

You know all those stand up comedians who do the "trailer guy" voice? This is the movie they are talking about. Despite a beautiful lead, and a good cast, I am already putting my money on Bloodrayne to sweep the Razzies in 2007.

Did anyone else get a real "Made for TV Movie" or "straight to DVD" vibe from that trailer? It looks like it wasn't even shot on film. Might check it out for a laugh.
