Variety announced today that Abandon Entertainment and online game producer Mythic Entertainment have formally entered into a joint venture, which would allow them to acquire and produce television shows that will translate across all entertainment platforms.

Abandon and Mythic have joined forces before, co-publishing DARK AGE OF CAMELOT, an online multiplayer videogame. Taking their project to the next level, they have partnered with Dimension Films to develop, produce and co-finance a TV series based on the popular game.

Abandon partnered with Miramax TV to help finance Kevin Williamson's GLORY DAYS, and is the international sales agent for the show, as well as HBO's PROJECT GREENLIGHT.

Mythic's CAMELOT is among the highest-selling online multiplayer games to date, topping sales from industry giants Microsoft (ASHERON'S CALL) and Sony (EVERQUEST).
