Gentle Giant Studios has released images of their upcoming Boba Fett statue, which will hit stores in May 2006. It's designed in 1/6 scale and stands 12.5 inches tall. It carries a price tag of $185.00.

The item will only be available for shipping in U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.

Ditto on the Boba Fett "mystique." When he met his ignoble demise in RotJ followed by the infamous Sarlacc belch gag, I really felt betrayed that his character wasn't developed into something with more substance. It was a real missed opportunity - Fett could have become a genuinely integral part of RotJ - as a super-badass who ultimately gets what's coming to him in a fitting blaze of glory; or a selfish bounty hunter who risks back-stabbing Vader and/or Jabba for his own gain; or even a secret ally of the Rebel cause. There were sooooo many interesting paths Fett could have taken... but instead we got "WHAAAAAAA!!" "BUUUUURP!!!"
